New SIS Office in Poland

SIS is proud to announce our expansion into the European Union with the opening of a new Service Center in Poland. This week, Viktor Lesiv and Mark Kershteyn traveled to Poznan, Poland to meet with the Poznan Mayor, a Polish national investment group, and other representatives of the city to discuss our European Union expansion growth strategy.

Later this quarter, key team members will relocate to Poland from Kyiv to support the growth strategy. As part of the hiring process, SIS will continue our academy work and establish local university relationships. This expansion helps SIS grow our European Service Centers, helping SIS to provide even better service to the US as well as help SIS have EU based projects.

Donations for Ukraine

Both SIS UA and US are very thankful for the outpouring of support received through our GiveSendGo donation site at the request of our customers. All funds have been applied to relocation along with food and shelter for our UA employees. The GiveSendGo site is still up for those continuing to ask how to donate. Thank you to all.

Industry Insights by Gary Bonuso, Director Industry Consulting

A headline flashed across my local news source this week about 2 construction workers killed in an accident on a job site.  The headline brought back the painful memories of similar incidents from organizations I was associated with in the past.  I tried to find some recent statistics on safety in the Construction Industry and share them below.  Please keep the push on for Safety Awareness.

  • OSHA estimates that construction companies save $4 to $6 for every $1 invested in safety programs. [OSHA]
  • In 2019, the average cost of a medically consulted injury was $42,000, while the average cost per death was $1.22 million. [NSC]
  • On average, construction companies spend 3.6% of their budgets on injuries, but only 2.6% on safety training. [National Funding/ELCOSH]
  • 67% of construction workers feel that standards are higher for productivity than for safety. [National Safety Council via EHS Today]
  • 55% of workers believe they need more safety training, and 25% worry about being injured every day. [360 Training]
  • OSHA safety certifications take between 10 and 30 hours to complete and cost between $60 and $180. [OSHA]
  • Over 60% of construction accidents occur within an employee’s first year of work, highlighting the need for proactive, high-quality training. [BLS]

Managed Services – SIS Care

SIS understands that in today’s business environment, critical applications, such as an organizations ERP and CRM systems, are vital to driving many key areas that contribute to the organizations success. As the number and complexity of these applications continues to grow exponentially, they can pose numerous challenges to existing IT teams trying to stay on top of support incidents, updates, bug fixes, and integrations /optimization projects. These challenges can cause user dissatisfaction, interruptions to daily job functions, inefficiencies in workflow process, and unexpected costs associated with down time and a loss of productivity.

The complexity of the applications today requires more than just one area of expertise by any single team member, and the cost to build, train, retain, and manage a team required to ensure the proper support of the applications can prove extremely costly for an organization.

SIS has put together a redesigned application managed services program called SIS Care, specifically to help our clients with all the complexities and challenges that come with application support. SIS Care provides a full managed service offering for managing the Optimization, Evergreen Strategy, Support and Health of our clients’ Microsoft SL, AX, D365 and CE/CRM applications.

With new processes in place, support from a team of dedicated consultants, SLAs for incident response and resolution times, and a single point of contact for contract management and governance, SIS Care is designed to be scalable and a fully customizable support service. Whether it is a complete outsourced support service or an augmented support service for your own internal team, SIS Care gives you access to the bandwidth, knowledge base, and predictable costs your organization needs to properly support your application.
