CRM & ERP Implementation
CRM & ERP Implementation
Implementing an ERP and or CRM solution into your business is one of the most challenging undertakings your organization will experience. Based on your needs, it will affect Business Development, Marketing, Field Services, Sales, Human Resources, Operations, Financials, Reporting and Business Intelligence. In our 25 years, SIS has delivered over 300 ERP & CRM implementations and has amassed a library of expertise, knowledge, and strategies for project and services-based businesses.
Our implementations begin at the point of hiring. The consultants we make part of our team, and share our knowledge with, are highly educated and certified in their discipline. Beyond this, they are collaborators and advisors who listen to you through every step of the process and provide guidance. This guidance and knowledge will guide you to high user adoption and the return on your investment that you expect.

From there our implementations also start early in the sales cycle. A sales handoff that does not include this step loses all the nuance gained through the scoping and discovery process. During the sales process you will meet key members of the team who will begin collecting important project-based knowledge of your environment, goals, and requirements. These team members will also provide their industry-based expertise to the decision and strategy stage of the discussions.
Throughout the sales process, we are introducing our methodology which includes: Mobilization, Analysis, Design, Development, Deployment, Optimization, and Training. Testing and Data Migration are necessary steps in this process. At SIS we use the Microsoft Sure Step methodology for our implementations which is a disciplined approach to ERP & CRM implementation steps. Attention to detail and team collaboration during this process helps reduce the need for change orders.
Upon kickoff, our teams are fully prepared to begin the steps toward workshopping, functional design documentation, and technical documentation. It is our recommendation that the users on your team are dedicated to the implementation for its duration and that the sponsorship committee continues to be available throughout the project.
Our change management process is an important part of the process as change is what makes ERP and or CRM implementation difficult for the user community. We will work with you every step of the way as we craft a change management plan for you.
Weekly governance is an important part of our methodology. The purpose of governance is to provide a common understanding of project deliverables, and a framework to ensure they are progressing on track.
As we move toward go live, and after training, we will begin the process of hand over to managed services and will work with you to create a plan that works for your team. In managed services you will have a dedicated account manager who will also be aware ahead of time of your requirements and functionality.
ERP Assessment
As part of the implementation process, we conduct an “as-is” process analysis to determine both the degree of fit of new tools and understand the benefits of transforming the business to a new platform. This analysis is key and allows us the opportunity to recommend ideas for reducing or even eliminating redundancies found in a company’s business processes.
During the assessment SIS will develop an understanding of the requirements of the ERP and or CRM software our clients are currently using in their environments. We do this based on best practices and experience gained over 25 years of conducting assessments and system reviews. We evaluate the current business process architecture, design, and quality management.
When this assessment is completed both teams can easily review existing operations based on industry standards. In this way, we can identify system functionality or tools that might help increase efficiency within the organization.
”The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.

CRM & ERP Rescue
ERP and or CRM implementations can be a complicated process. It requires a strong product-partner-client relationship. In our history, we have executed numerous re-implementations due to a compromised implementation. If you feel your current implementation is not going well, it is time to stop and make an assessment before proceeding on the wrong path.
If you are in a compromised situation with your Dynamics 365 implementation, or with your managed services relationship, but you feel it will be too difficult to move forward with a new partner, SIS has much experience quickly evaluating and learning a new environment. If you are a project or services based business, SIS is the only partner 100% dedicated to this sector and 100% dedicated to Dynamics 365.
”“After a failed implementation we decided to take a step back and review the landscape. We learned a tremendous amount about our software, our business, and most importantly our needs. We did not need a consultant to help us implement AX. We needed a partner who understood our business and would be invested with us in our success. We needed a partner to maximize the software we chose and believe in. After a great deal of investigating we know we have found our partner, SIS Software. They have developed software that hits the core of our business. We are energized by their solutions and look forward to launching SIS Advanced Labor, and SIS Project Cost Management for AX. We believe this trio of products complement AX very well. These three products fulfill all of our business requirements. After 5 months of searching for the right partner we know we made the right choice.”
