What is SIS Construct 365 Advanced Labor?

Managing payroll in the construction industry is rarely straightforward. With variable labor rates, complex union agreements, fringe calculations, prevailing wage requirements, and overtime rules, traditional payroll systems often fall short. The challenge only grows when contractors work across multiple unions with reciprocity rules, or when projects involve hundreds or thousands of employees.

That’s where SIS Construct 365 Advanced Labor comes in.

Purpose-Built for Construction Payroll

Construct 365 Advanced Labor (AL) is a cloud-based Microsoft Azure application designed to handle payroll and labor costing complexities that most construction companies face. SIS clients can be confident that because the solution is built on Microsoft Azure platform, it is scalable, secure and built with redundancy to ensure the necessary uptime for such a mission critical application. While it was designed for construction firms, its flexible architecture also supports other industries with unionized labor, such as manufacturing.

The solution is an immediate fit for companies that use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365 Finance) for ERP and SIS Construct 365 Project Cost Management for job costing, especially when payroll is managed through providers like UKG or ADP. Because it’s hosted in Azure, it scales easily to support a large workforce and high transaction volumes.

At the same time, C365 Advanced Labor integrates seamlessly with other payroll providers and ERPs through the SIS Connector, making it adaptable for companies with different systems.

How It Works

Construct 365 Advanced Labor captures all the critical payroll and project-related information needed to ensure accurate calculations and reporting.

Inputs include:

  • Master Data such as projects/work orders, employees, unions, agreements, prevailing wage rates, and overtime rules
  • Configuration data from payroll providers (e.g., ADP, UKG) and ERP systems (D365 or others)
  • Time entry from SIS Construct 365 Field Operations (FOPS), third-party systems, Excel imports, or manual entry

Outputs include:

  • Employee earnings statements
  • Certified payroll and prevailing wage reports (LCP Tracker)
  • Job cost and project payroll burden reports
  • Union wage and fringe reports

For companies that want to run the solution standalone, all master data and time can be imported via Excel, and Project Costs, Union Reports, and Certified Payroll can be exported.

Why It Matters

With Construct 365 Advanced Labor, contractors can:

  • Simplify complex payroll across multiple unions and prevailing wage rules
  • Reduce compliance risk with automated certified payroll and union reporting
  • Gain accurate visibility into project labor costs
  • Scale confidently as projects and workforce sizes grow

By bridging payroll, ERP, and job costing, SIS Construct 365 Advanced Labor provides contractors with a reliable way to manage one of their most critical and complicated processes.

SIS Construct 365 Advance Labor is not a payroll system.  It is designed to calculate gross pay and union dues, create earnings statements, and pass them to payroll processors like UKG and ADP from gross to net processing.  Following the receipt of Pay Statements from payroll processor SIS Construct 365 Creates Certified Payroll reporting, job costing data as well as Union wage and fringe reports.
